Bread & Roses is launching a "May Around the Bay" outreach program at a variety of public venues throughout the Bay Area.
"Bread & Roses presents shows to hidden audiences in places like homeless shelters and hospitals. This is an opportunity for the music loving public to learn more about our program from some of our volunteer performers in this first annual May Around the Bay promotion of this concert series," said Cassandra Flipper, Bread & Roses Executive Director.
The goal is to educate the public about the value of live music and performing arts for isolated audiences of all ages. Bread & Roses provides over 500 shows a year to people isolated in institutions in eight counties around the Bay Area.
