Special Promotion to Benefit Bread & Roses

Max's Café in Corte Madera is sponsoring a special Charity Night for Bread & Roses ONE Saturday each month beginning Jan. 14 from 7 to 10 pm.

The promotion will run through the spring.  Successive dates include Sat. Feb. 18, March 10, April 14 and May 12.

Tamalpais High School students will kick off the series for Bread & Roses by performing on Jan. 14.  Says emcee and producer Connor Stock, "Each night a different school from the local districts will perform."

Bread & Roses will receive ten percent of the food/drink that is sold on each evening in addition to the proceeds from a special donations box at the front of the stage.  Funds raised will help support our ongoing program of bringing hope and healing through live music to audiences isolated in Bay Area institutions.

Diners will benefit Bread & Roses by enjoying Max's traditional American food featuring a wide variety of dishes from prime rib to delicious chicken matzoh ball soup.  The restaurant is located at 60 Madera Blvd. in Corte Madera. Phone: 415 924-6297.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry – Bullitt Mondays to Benefit Bread & Roses

The holidays will soon be over, and soon it will be time to sit back, relax and de-stress after the frenzy of December. What better way to do that then to get together with some close friends and enjoy your favorite drink at one of the trendiest new lounge bars in San Francisco? What if you could do that, while at the same time giving back to your community? Well, you can!

Join us at Bullitt on Monday nights in January and February, and 10% of all your purchases will go to Bread & Roses. This two-year old Nob Hill bar, located at 2209 Polk Street between Green and Vallejo, is named after the famous action movie starring Steve McQueen, and has been described by the SF Thrillist as “a bar that McQueen would want to hang out in;” that is: hip, yet unpretentious with a good selection of whiskey and beer for relatively low prices.
